Job summary

Akima Technical Solutions (ATS), an Akima company, seeks a tool room attendant to support SOATB aviation tool room operations on-site. The role provides opportunities within a federal contracting environment, with a focus on precision inventory and tool control.

You will assist the toolroom supply technician, issue and receive hand tools and TMDE, perform periodic inventories, and ensure aircraft ground support equipment records comply with site guidance.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain a secret clearance; interim secret required to start.
• Experience in automotive/truck/aviation tool room is preferred.
• Must pass a basic physical to operate ground support equipment.
• Driver's license is required to be certified to operate customer equipment such as forklifts and GSA vehicles.
• Must lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist the toolroom supply technician.
• Receive, store, and issue hand tools, dies, test kits, consumables, special tools, and TMDE.
• Inspect and inventory kits and tools before issuing or receiving items back into the tool room.
• Conduct periodic inventories of the tool room hand receipt.
• Issue and receive equipment using customer tracking software.
• Track maintenance and inspections of AGSE in customer software and complete forms per site policies.
