Candidates should have basic knowledge of tooling and gauges, welding and cutting skills, and basic math and computer skills; CNC programming basics are required. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive benefits.

Basic understanding of the tool & die position. Must possess basic knowledge of machining. Be able to do basic programming. Ability to do basic machining and programming in a safe manner in the tool and die area.

Toolmaker / Machinist Essential Functions

• Be able use all types of tooling and gauges.
• Be able to operate manual equipment.
• Completes welding and fabrication tasks with little or no direction.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform basic machining and programming in order to work in the tool and die field safely.
• Other duties as assigned.

Toolmaker / Machinist Required Experience

• Basic knowledge of all types of tooling and gauges.
• Basic welding and cutting skills.
• Should be capable of reading micrometers, telescoping gauges, calipers, comparator, indicators, etc.
• Good problem solving skills, safety practices and attention to quality.
• Have basic workbench and computer skills.
• Minimal amount of machining knowledge.
• Basic Math skills.
• Basic CNC programming knowledge.

Toolmaker / Machinist Physical Demands and Work Environment

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• Frequently required lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.
• Frequently required standing, bending, squatting, and reaching with hands and arms.
• Regularly required to stand for extended periods, walk, talk, and hear.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Ability to read applicable instructions.
