Job summary

Stellantis NV in Kokomo, Indiana, is seeking a skilled Toolmaker to produce and repair cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges and hand tools for our automotive manufacturing lines.

You will read blueprints, set up CNC machines, test tools, and ensure parts meet specs. A bona fide apprenticeship or 4+ years of related experience is required; CAD/CAM knowledge is a plus; ability to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of combined apprenticeship-type experience as Tool Maker or Tool and Die Maker.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and layouts.
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM and CNC tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathes, milling machines and grinders to shape parts.
• Test and inspect tools to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Install and maintain tooling and crossbars for tooling projects.
• Read blueprints and layouts to plan sequences of operations.
• Adjust machine settings and troubleshoot operational issues.
