Job summary

Ahaus Tool & Engineering, Inc. in Richmond, Indiana, is seeking a Toolmaker/Mechanical Assembly Technician who can lead toolmaking efforts and contribute to designing and fabricating precision tools and automation equipment.

You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to translate customer needs into detailed specifications, drive quality, and support continuous improvement initiatives across projects. Travel to customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or technical training in tool and die, industrial technology, and/or robotics/automation.
• Five or more years in a job shop environment is preferred.
• Experience using CAD software for design and modeling.
• Understanding of machining processes, materials and tool fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of toolmakers in development of custom automation equipment and machines.
• Collaborate with engineering to translate customer requirements into design specifications.
• Oversee toolmaking, fabrication and assembly of precision components and machinery.
• Implement quality control processes to ensure reliability and performance of equipment.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and timely updates.
