Job summary

ViziRecruiter,LLC. is offering a Toolmaking apprenticeship program in Hastings, Minnesota. Participants will take coursework at Dunwoody College, fully sponsored by the company, while gaining hands-on experience through mentorship.

Successful candidates will support operations as they learn from experienced toolmakers and transition into Toolmaker roles after completing their studies. Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety are required.

Job description

Introduction

Intek Plastics specializes in designing, manufacturing, assembling, and delivering a wide variety of customized plastic extrusions in the Fenestration, Hydroponic, Lighting, Refrigeration, and Power Management Industries.

Overview

Participant will be enrolled in a one‑year Machine/Tool Processes program through Dunwoody College, with tuition fully sponsored by the company.

Responsibilities

• While actively completing coursework, apprentices will work on 1st shift to support job shadowing and mentorship alongside experienced toolmakers, building foundational skills in a hands‑on environment.
• Following successful completion of the schooling program, apprentices will transition into an off‑shift Toolmaker role, where they will apply their training more independently and support ongoing toolroom operations.

Requirements

• HS Diploma and able to take classes and work towards an AAS degree in Tool & Die.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Good organizational and basic math skills.
• Reliable, regular attendance and a strong safety mindset.
