Job summary

A Gloucestershire-based engineering firm is seeking a Toolmaker to join its precision tooling team. The role involves maintaining and refurbishing production tooling and supporting CNC and manual turning and milling operations.

You will manage press tool drawings, stock levels for tool spares, and generate spare lists with controlled drawings. Experience in press toolmaking and using drawing packages is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in press toolmaking.
• Experience with toolroom machinery, including CNC and conventional milling/turning.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and refurbishment of production tooling.
• CNC turning and milling (manual & CNC).
• Maintaining and controlling press tool drawings.
• Stock control of press tool spares.
• Generating spare lists with controlled drawings for manufacture.
• Press tool design using drawing package.
• Production support as required.

Toolmaker, Gloucestershire, c£19 per hour

My client is an established and successful engineering / manufacturing client providing precision engineering services and manufacturing pressed components to a variety of industries.

Responsible for working in a safe and sensible manner, bringing to the attention of their supervisors any areas of concern.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and refurbishment of production tooling
• CNC & Manual Turning and Milling.
• Maintaining and control of our press tool drawings.
• Controlling stock levels of press tool spares.
• Generating spares lists with the relevant controlled drawings ready for manufacture.
• Press tool design using company drawing package.
• Production support, as and when.

Working hours are:

7-30am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7-30 to 1pm Friday.

The successful candidate will have proven experience gained within a press toolmaking role, experienced in the operation of toolroom machinery (CNC and conventional – milling and turning).

You must currently reside in the United Kingdom and hold full right to work. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
