Job description

We are seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join our team in a full‑time, permanent role. This position is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of tooling, dies, jigs, fixtures, and related precision components used in production. The ideal candidate is experienced in machining, blueprint interpretation, and troubleshooting tooling issues to support efficient manufacturing operations.

• Fabricate, repair, and maintain tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures used in manufacturing.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on damaged or worn tooling and dies.
• Set up and operate a wide range of machine shop equipment, including mills, lathes, grinders, and surface grinders.
• Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators, CMM tools, etc.) to ensure accuracy of manufactured components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to support process improvements and tooling design enhancements.
• Perform preventive maintenance to extend tool and die life and reduce downtime.
• Document repair work, tooling changes, and maintenance performed.
• Follow safety standards, quality specifications, and company protocols at all times.

Toolmaker Job Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience as a Toolmaker, Tool & Die Maker, or Machinist (or completion of an accredited apprenticeship program).
• Strong knowledge of machining practices, heat treating, and metal properties.
• Experience with CNC equipment (programming a plus but not required).
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
• Solid math skills and familiarity with geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to lift, move, and handle tooling components as required.
• Overtime available as needed to support production
