Responsibilities

• Inspect, clean, repair, and set up tooling for weld mill equipment.
• Operate lathes, grinders, polishers, and other metal-forming equipment.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and other tools to verify tight tolerances.
• Perform daily equipment checks and maintain accurate tooling inventory.
• Safely move tooling (up to 400 lbs) using tow motors and cranes.
• Read blueprints and apply machining knowledge to meet exact specs.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems independently in a fast-paced setting.
• Collaborate with production teams to meet tooling needs and resolve issues.

Overview

Help keep Webco’s precision tooling at its best for producing top-quality carbon steel tubing. This role combines hands-on machining, maintenance, and setup of tooling parts with high attention to detail and a commitment to safety. You’ll work with lathes, grinders, polishers, and precision measuring tools to meet tight tolerances that keep our production running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

• Inspect, clean, repair, and set up tooling for weld mill equipment
• Operate lathes, grinders, polishers, and other metal-forming equipment
• Use micrometers, calipers, and other tools to verify tight tolerances
• Perform daily equipment checks and maintain accurate tooling inventory
• Safely move tooling (up to 400 lbs) using tow motors and cranes
• Read blueprints and apply machining knowledge to meet exact specs
• Troubleshoot and solve problems independently in a fast-paced setting
• Collaborate with production teams to meet tooling needs and resolve issues

Physical & Work Environment

• Stand and walk for 12-hour shifts (up to 2 miles/day) on a concrete floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly; work in temperatures from 90-100°F in summer and cold in winter
• Exposure to loud machinery and occasional dust, lubricants, and cleaning chemicals
• PPE provided and required (hearing/eye protection, steel-toed shoes, gloves)

Schedule
