Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. is seeking a Tooling Tech in Williamsport, PA. The role focuses on proficient operation of manual tool room and metrology equipment to support production, including mold repair and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities cover interpretation of blueprints, assembly/disassembly, and skilled machining such as lathe, milling, drilling and grinding. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and preferred trade/vocational training.

Qualifications

• Capable of interpreting blueprints required in performance of tool room duties, assemble / disassemble, fabricate, fit, repair all injection molding, injection blow molding components.
• Operation of all manual tool room machines with high degree of efficiency; must be competent with lathe work, milling, drilling, sawing and precision grinding.
• Perform all mold preventive maintenance functions.
• Train / assist less experienced employees.
• Actively participate and comply with all West 5S programs and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Complete understanding of shop math related to performance of all machining applications or related duties.
• Capable of interpreting blueprints required in performance of tool room duties, assemble / disassemble, fabricate, fit, repair all injection molding, injection blow molding components.

• Advise Tool Room Supervisor of any possible delay or quality issues with work related duties.
