Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance on injection molds and related tooling. You will interpret prints, troubleshoot mold systems, and perform precision machining to high tolerances, using grinders, lathes, and EDM equipment.

Ideal candidates have 0–3 years of experience, a High School diploma (trade classes preferred), and the ability to work independently with a focus on safety and quality compliance.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required; trade school is a plus.
• Experience with mold tools and precision machining preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform close-tolerance work.

Responsibilities

• Modify or construct tools, fixtures and mold components using manual machines.
• Perform own machine setups with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues with hot runner/valve gated systems and repair accordingly.
• Machining to detailed blueprints and tolerances with precision measuring instruments.
• Conform to safety, quality policies and work procedures.
