Job summary

Magna Exteriors in Texas is seeking an experienced mold maker to lead tooling modifications and mold maintenance in our injection molding operations. You will supervise safety compliance, follow Decostar policies, and collaborate with production teams to meet quality and timing goals.

The role requires a technical degree or equivalent experience and a strong hands-on ability with tooling, welding, and precision fitting.

Qualifications

• Three years practical experience as a journeyman (apprentice mold maker).
• Three years production environment experience in injection molding or related field.
• Must achieve an acceptable score on Decostar’s skill assessment test.
• Must have excellent welding skills and experience with machine tool equipment.
• Must be able to read and interpret tooling drawings.

Responsibilities

• To direct and follow Decostar Industries health and safety policies and procedures that provide for a safe and healthful workplace.
• Exemplify the Charter principle for a safe and healthful workplace by correcting unsafe behaviors.
• Immediately respond to health and safety concerns or suggestions from employees.
• Report accidents or near misses to the Safety Department within 24 hours.
• Complete all required safety-related inspections.
• Organize modifications and repairs to molds and provide information to production for scheduling.
• Understand Decostar tooling specifications and ensure all production tools meet requirements.
• Maintain mold maintenance documentation with the CMMS Coordinator.
• Ensure completed work meets customer specifications.
