Job summary

Sea Fox Boats is seeking a skilled Tooling Technician at our Clement's Ferry location to build molds, plugs, jigs, and tooling for boat production. The role emphasizes epoxy/composite work, EPS foam shaping, woodworking, and welding, with a focus on accuracy, safety, and craftsmanship.

The ideal candidate will handle various shop tools and fabrication techniques while maintaining high standards and meeting production requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience with epoxy, composites, fiberglass, or boat building is required.
• Strong hands-on mechanical and fabrication skills.
• Experience with grinding, sanding, and power tools.
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and laminate schedules.
• Experience with epoxy layup or epoxy pasting.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate jigs, plugs, fixtures, and structural components for boat production.
• Operate woodworking machinery and power tools to cut and shape components.
• Cut and shape EPS foam using hot-wire equipment for hulls and tooling.
• Perform epoxy layup, fiberglass prep, and composite finishing.
• MIG/TIG welding and other metal fabrication as needed.
• Inspect finished work for accuracy and quality.
