Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Perform left/right and part-number setup changes, ensuring tooling is correctly installed, aligned, and ready for production.
  • Replace upper wheels, broach bars, and other wear tooling at defined cycle limits; reset and maintain accurate tooling counters.
  • Make tooling adjustments and alignments to correct dimensional issues such as true position, radius, and other part-quality conditions.
  • Inspect tooling condition, identify wear or damage, and proactively replace or repair tooling to prevent downtime and quality defects.
  • Respond to tooling-related production issues, support root-cause analysis, document recurring failures, and implement improvements to increase tooling life, uptime, and process reliability.

We are looking for a talented Tooling Technician to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in York, SC .

Job Summary

Performs skilled activities which support manufacturing business needs. Selects and uses appropriate tools, machinery and specialty equipment completing work with limited guidance. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.

Experience
  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
Production Setup & Changeover Support
