Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a skilled Machining Specialist to support manufacturing operations on site. You will apply expertise in CNC programming, machining operations and tooling to improve process capability and productivity while adhering to safety standards.

You will lead continuous improvement efforts, assist in maintenance analyses, and collaborate with TPM teams to ensure quality and efficiency across production lines.

Job Summary:

Comprehensive knowledge applied to performing skilled activities which support manufacturing business needs. Works with relevant functions to select and utilize appropriate resources, tools, machinery and specialty equipment. Thoroughly understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment. Acts as a formal resource leading and coordinating others. Raises issues to minimize cost and quality exposures. Performs quality inspections. Delivery Fully proficient performing skilled activities expected by their roles in accordance with defined roles and responsibilities. Leads and coordinates others acting as a formal resource for team members with less capability. Performs and documents preventive, emergency, corrective and predictive maintenance activities. Maintains clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks. Performs other duties as required to meet business goals.
