Job summary

Magna International Limited, located in Piedmont, South Carolina, seeks a skilled machinist to contribute to metal stock handling and tooling operations as part of Magna Exteriors. You will analyze specifications, set up and operate machine tools, and support the fabrication and repair of dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinists’ hand tools.

As a member of Magna Exteriors, you’ll participate in a collaborative environment with opportunities to mentor apprentices and adapt dies

• Analyzes specifications and lays out metal stock.
• Sets-up and operates machine tools to fabricate parts.
• Assembles parts to fabricate and repair metal working dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges and machinists' hand tools.
• Modifies dies to conform to engineering changes and guides apprentices.

Job Responsibilities:

Analyzes specifications, lays-out metal stock, sets-up and operates machine tools. Fits and assembles parts to fabricate and repair metal working dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges and machinists' hand tools. Modifies dies to conform to engineering changes. Provides assistance and guidance to apprentices.
