Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Supplier Tooling Specialist to support the Core Tooling Organization and manage a tooling portfolio valued at $30–50M annually. You will oversee cost, schedule, quality, and execution across a complex tooling supply base.

The Supplier Tooling Specialist serves as the primary operational interface for supplier management, ensuring accountability and adherence to company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, supply chain, business, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, tooling, or supplier management.
• Experience managing suppliers, ensuring compliance, and driving performance improvement.
• Knowledge of RFQ/RFP processes, POs, order management, and onboarding.
• Ability to manage a large portfolio and lead escalations effectively.
• Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Office, and web-based SCM tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership across a multi-site tooling supplier portfolio to meet cost, schedule and quality targets.
• Lead supplier performance reviews and drive recovery plans for late or high-risk orders.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Quality, and Tool Engineering to address rejects and defects.
• Maintain visibility to open orders, capacity, backlog risk, and delivery commitments.
• Conduct supplier audits and validate status, constraints, and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with technical requirements, NDA/PDIA processes, and file-transfer protocols.
• Translate business needs into supplier requirements and communicate expectations clearly.
