Qualifications

  • Degree preferred in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
  • 5+ years in tooling or tooling processes design/management.
  • Proficiency with 2-year hands-on CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Willing to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to integrate control systems, sensors, measurement devices, and process equipment into automated mechanical designs.
  • Read and interpret customer drawings and specifications, and create clear, detailed engineering and reference drawings.
  • Develop innovative automation solutions, transforming concepts into functional designs and supporting projects through implementation and startup.
  • Work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams while engaging with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Manage tooling projects by securing customer funding, controlling budgets in partnership with accounting, and coordinating vendor activities to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards, maintaining and updating equipment designs within the quality management system.
  • Evaluate components, suppliers, and emerging technologies for standardization initiatives, while providing leadership and oversight for direct reports as required.

What makes you great

  • Proficiency and direct (hands‑on) 2-year experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and MS Office software
  • Must be able to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally
