Job summary

Alten USA is seeking a Tool Technology Engineer to lead complex tooling projects in an industrial setting. You will translate technical requirements into innovative tooling solutions while coordinating cross-functional teams, managing budgets, and ensuring quality and delivery targets.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, project management, and collaboration with suppliers and customers to meet mechanical and performance specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years in an industrial mechanical environment.
• Experience managing technical or engineering projects from concept through completion.
• Experience with tooling design, development, validation and implementation.
• Strong planning, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into practical engineering solutions.
• Experience preparing cost estimates and managing budgets.
• Excellent communication and customer management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for tooling projects from design review through qualification, acceptance, and closure.
• Analyze requirements to develop robust tooling solutions.
• Lead project planning: scope, resources, scheduling, risk, organization.
• Manage tooling projects from initiation to delivery within budget and schedule.
• Ensure tooling meets mechanical, dimensional, functional and performance requirements.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and operations.
• Monitor project performance with dashboards and KPIs; take corrective actions.
• Oversee budgets, cost estimates, forecasts, and financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
• Support proposals and tenders during pre-sales activities.
