Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a highly organized Tooling Coordinator to support tooling programs from concept through production launch. You will serve as the primary liaison between engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, purchasing, and program management to ensure tooling projects meet scope, schedule, and budget.

The ideal candidate has a background in tooling manufacturing, project coordination, and manufacturing operations, with experience coordinating tooling projects and supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 3+ years coordinating tooling, manufacturing, engineering, or production projects.
• Experience in tooling manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing environments.
• Strong project coordination or project management experience.
• Experience managing supplier communications, schedules, and deliverables.
• Understanding of tooling fabrication and production environments.
• Experience supporting tooling launches or prototype builds.
• Proficiency with Excel, SharePoint, and project tracking tools.
• Experience creating dashboards and status updates.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update tooling project trackers, schedules, and status reports.
• Monitor milestones and keep tooling projects on schedule.
• Coordinate activities between engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and suppliers.
• Track RFQs, quotations, lead times, and delivery schedules.
• Follow up on tooling progress and open action items with suppliers.
• Communicate engineering changes to suppliers and stakeholders.
• Schedule tooling reviews and vendor meetings.
• Support tooling sourcing, procurement, and supplier selection.
• Identify risks and escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain tooling documentation and program data in SharePoint and related systems.
• Develop dashboards and reporting for tooling programs.
• Track prototype tooling, validation, and launch readiness.
• Assist with tooling installation and qualification in manufacturing.
