Job summary

Parker Electromechanical is seeking a tooling engineer to develop and qualify tooling and fixtures for our production lines. The role involves CAD design, vendor coordination, and process improvement to drive quality and cost reductions.

The position requires an Associate degree or certificate in CAD, Engineering, or a related field with at least 5 years of tooling experience, and a strong emphasis on lean manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate degree or certificate in CAD, Engineering, or Precision Machine Tool Technology with 5+ years of experience.
• Familiarity with tooling and fixture design and qualification processes is essential.
• Experience applying Lean manufacturing principles to tooling and production areas is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops, designs, and qualifies tooling and fixtures for products and processes.
• Works with tooling vendors to develop and procure new tools and fixtures.
• Creates, maintains, and reviews CAD drawings for tooling, dies and fixtures.
• Evaluates tooling improvements and prepares cost justifications.
• Supports and coordinates MRO tooling procurement and management.
• Manages tooling projects from design to implementation.
• Identifies improvements and communicates changes to Product and Manufacturing Engineers.
• Ensures process quality by testing finished products and processes.
