Job Specifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of management or supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Tool & Die Maker
  • Experience in investment casting industry
  • Supervision/leadership in a tool and die manufacturing shop
  • Experience with CNC equipment and die assembly in wax and plastic injection processes
  • Experience with lathes, wire EDM, CNC machining
Job Summary

We are seeking a Tooling Manufacturing Supervisor at our Engines Products - Cleveland Operations Tempcraft facility. This role provides leadership, coaching, and direction to ensure safety, customer satisfaction, problem-solving, waste elimination, and goal achievement.

This is a 3rd shift position, working Monday-Friday from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., with flexibility for additional hours including weekends. The Operations Manager will work with the selected candidate to promote work-life balance.

Howmet Engines produces aero engine and industrial gas turbine components, excelling in vacuum melted superalloys, machining, coatings, and hot isostatic pressing to enable high-performance, fuel-efficient engines and cleaner power generation.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead manufacturing, processing, or support areas to meet quality, output, and delivery targets.
  • Prepare daily production reports and participate in daily meetings.
  • Set and achieve daily production and quality goals in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
  • Manage timekeeping, shift schedules, overtime, and leave requests for associates.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies.
  • Monitor inventory and coordinate with Procurement to support production schedules.
  • Provide leadership, motivation, and coaching to associates.
  • Develop and implement training plans, promote continuous improvement, and support Lean initiatives like 5S and standardized work.
