Job summary

Schaeffler is hiring for a Tooling Maintenance Technician in Cheraw, SC. You will perform operational maintenance, inspect tooling, and document repairs to ensure reliability in production tooling.

Candidate should have 3+ years building tooling and grinding machine experience, with strong measurement skills and clear written communication. This on-site role offers competitive pay and shift premiums.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical degree/certificate in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Tool & Die, Machining, or related field is desirable.
• 3+ years' experience building tooling.
• 3+ years' experience with grinding machines, transfer and progressive presses.
• Ability to use measurement instruments.
• Ability to read instructions and communicate clearly.
• Good visual acuity required.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational maintenance for tools used in production.
• Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on tools and related equipment.
• Assemble and disassemble tools and components per drawings/specifications.
• Inspect tools for wear and damage; perform quality checks.
• Maintain maintenance and repair logs.
• Document all completed work thoroughly.
