Job summary

VEKA Inc. in Pennsylvania is seeking a Plant Maintenance Mechanic to contribute to a dynamic extrusion team. The role focuses on cleaning, maintaining, and preparing extrusion tooling to the required standard for production, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GED, High School Education, Trade school preferred, or Previous Experience

Responsibilities

• Clean and inspect extrusion tooling according to VEKA Policy/Procedures
• Disassemble extrusion tooling and ensure proper assembly
• Perform Maintenance on extrusion tooling as directed
• Disassemble purged-in dies and polish die, templates, and calibration as needed
• Communicate wear and damage to immediate supervisor
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Operate Reach truck as needed
• Assist supervision and tooling maintenance personnel
• All other duties as assigned

JOB SUMMARY: To clean, maintain and prepare the extrusion tooling to the required standard for production.

Primary Duties

• Clean and inspect extrusion tooling (Components) according to VEKA Policy/Procedures
• Disassemble extrusion tooling and insure proper assembly
• Perform Maintenance on extrusion tooling as directed
• Disassemble purged-in dies
• Polish die, templates, and calibration as needed
• Communicate wear and damage to immediate supervisor
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Operate Reach truck as needed

Secondary Duties

• Assist supervision and tooling maintenance personnel.
• All other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Mechanical Aptitude, Oral Communication, and Accuracy. Safety and Quality oriented.
