Job summary

VEKA Group in Reno, NV is seeking a tooling maintenance technician responsible for cleaning, maintaining and preparing extrusion tooling to the required standard for production.

You will perform inspections, disassemble/reassemble tooling, conduct maintenance as directed, and ensure safe, clean work areas, including operating a Reach truck as needed.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required; trade school preferred.
• Previous experience in tooling maintenance preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and safety orientation.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect extrusion tooling according to VEKA Policy/Procedures.
• Disassemble extrusion tooling and ensure proper assembly.
• Perform maintenance on extrusion tooling as directed.
• Disassemble purged‑in dies.
• Polish die, templates, and calibration as needed.
• Communicate wear and damage to immediate supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Operate Reach truck as needed.
• Assist supervision and tooling maintenance personnel.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Assist supervision and tooling maintenance personnel.
• All other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Mechanical Aptitude, Oral Communication, and Accuracy. Safety and Quality oriented.

Minimum Qualifications

GED, High School Education, Trade school preferred, or Previous Experience
