Job summary

Workforce Recruiter seeks a Tooling Engineer (Palmdale, CA) for a 12-month contract. Onsite position with pay rate $45-55/hr W2 and US citizenship required.

The role encompasses design coordination, test plan development, process improvements, and collaboration with product development to ensure manufacturability. Responsibilities include managing tool and fixture design from concept to validation, developing tool fabrication processes, and ensuring alignment with shop planning and quality

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Catia design experience
• GD&T knowledge and application
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Experience with 3D modeling and detailing in a manufacturing context

Tooling Engineer ( Palmdale, CA ) 2067

Engineer Tool 2 to support our Tooling department. This position will serve on-site at Palmdale

Responsibilities

• Coordination of design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, both internal and external
• Coordinate/develop & execute test plans
• Develop & evaluate process improvements
• Assist Product Development Team with new product designs to ensure manufacturability, validate process/technology.
• Developing manufacturing processes, plans, and procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment in support of our process work instructions and visual aids of our shop planning process and other functions that affect product performance.
• Managing all phases of project: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Catia design experience (high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing).
• Familiarity with Industry Standards related to Detailed Drawing Requirements, ANSI, ISO, etc.
• Knowledgeable in designing of castings, stampings and turned components
• GD&T knowledge (it’s understanding and usage) in order to properly apply the rules to drawings
• Efficient in writing, communication and ability to manage technical details
• Proficient with Microsoft office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
