Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting in Palmdale, CA is seeking an on-site Tooling Engineer for a 12-month contract. The role pays $45-$55 per hour (W2) and requires US citizenship.

The position focuses on tooling design, fabrication coordination, and process improvements to support our manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include coordinating tool and fixture design with customers, developing test plans, and guiding projects from design through validation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Catia design experience with 3D modeling and detailing.
• Familiarity with ANSI, ISO standards for drawing requirements.
• Knowledgeable in designing of castings, stampings and turned components.
• GD&T knowledge for proper application of tolerancing on drawings.
• Strong writing and communication of technical details.
• Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Engineer Tool 2 to support our Tooling department. This position will serve on-site at Palmdale

Responsibilities

• Coordination of design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, both internal and external
• Coordinate/develop & execute test plans
• Develop & evaluate process improvements
• Assist Product Development Team with new product designs to ensure manufacturability, validate process/technology.
• Developing manufacturing processes, plans, and procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment in support of our process work instructions and visual aids of our shop planning process and other functions that affect product performance.
• Managing all phases of project: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Catia design experience (high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing).
• Familiarity with Industry Standards related to Detailed Drawing Requirements, ANSI, ISO, etc.
• Knowledgeable in designing of castings, stampings and turned components
• GD&T knowledge (it’s understanding and usage) in order to properly apply the rules to drawings
• Efficient in writing, communication and ability to manage technical details
• Proficient with Microsoft office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
