Topechelon is seeking a Tooling Engineer in Palmdale, CA for a 12-month contract. The role focuses on tooling design, coordination with customers, and on-site execution of tooling projects.

Ideal candidates bring Catia design experience with 3D modeling proficiency, working knowledge of GD&T, and familiarity with ANSI/ISO standards to ensure manufacturability and quality in tooling and fixtures.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Catia design experience with high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing.
• Familiarity with industry standards related to detailed drawing requirements (ANSI, ISO).
• Knowledgeable in designing castings, stampings and turned components.
• GD&T knowledge and proper application to drawings.
• Efficient in writing and communication and able to manage technical details.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, both internal and external.
• Coordinate/develop and execute test plans.
• Develop and evaluate process improvements.
• Assist Product Development Team with new product designs to ensure manufacturability and validate process/technology.
• Develop manufacturing processes, plans, and procedures for fabrication of tools and equipment in support of shop planning process and related instructions.
• Manage all phases of projects: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate.
