Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Tooling Engineer to design, develop, and optimize manufacturing tooling, fixtures and molds across sites. You will use CAD/CAM tools (SolidWorks, Creo, NX) and run mold flow analyses to ensure high quality, cost-effective production.

You will collaborate with design, manufacturing and quality teams, manage tooling projects with vendors, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost and cycle times. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Design tooling, molds, and fixtures using CAD/CAM based on specs.
• Conduct DFM and DFA analyses to optimize tooling and production.
• Run mold flow analysis to predict and improve processes.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Manage tooling projects from concept to production with vendors.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement CAPA.
• Drive continuous improvement for cost, cycle time, and quality.
• Develop and maintain tooling docs and spare parts lists.
• Stay current with tooling tech and industry trends.
• Provide training and technical support to shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust tooling, molds, and fixtures using CAD/CAM software.
• Conduct DFM and DFA analyses to optimize tooling designs and production processes.
• Perform mold flow analysis and simulation to predict and optimize molding processes.
• Collaborate with product design, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Manage tooling projects from concept to production, including vendor selection and procurement.
• Troubleshoot tooling-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Drive cost reduction, cycle time improvements, and quality enhancements.
• Document tooling specifications, drawings, maintenance procedures, and spare parts.
