Job summary

Jabil is seeking a senior tooling program manager to develop strategies and oversee the execution of design, creation, validation, and sourcing of custom mechanical tooling.

The role includes establishing global tooling standards, developing acquisition processes, and coordinating with the Commodity Management team to build tooling supply chains for various manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience is required.
• Plus 10+ years of experience in managing design, creation and validation of custom mechanical tooling.
• Experience in tooling within manufacturing environments using injection molding, progressive dye, stamping and casting.
• 5+ years of demonstrated business management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies for and manage execution of design, creation, validation, and sourcing of custom mechanical tooling.
• Establish standards, processes and management tools to enable effective execution.
• Identify demand and properly staff to meet demand.
• Provide functional management for all tool creation activities.
• Oversee key projects, processes, and performance reports; train staff when needed.
• Develop and maintain global tooling standards and acquisition processes.
• Collaborate with Commodity Management to develop tooling supply chains.
• Support tooling engineering on legacy programs at suppliers.
• Interact with customers during NPI and launch phases.
