Job summary

Prestige Staffing Services in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is seeking an experienced Tooling Engineer for a direct hire with outstanding benefits.

You will support product development, drive tooling design and sourcing, and manage engineering changes and tool audits to improve manufacturing.) Qualifications include 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, 3+ years with modeling software such as SolidWorks, and a BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of modeling software experience (SolidWorks or equivalent).
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for product development and design.
• Provide input and direction in the sourcing, design, construction, PPAP, and launch of new tools, fixtures, and equipment.
• Estimate, schedule, and execute all engineering changes for tooling, cost savings, etc.
• Establish new and superior sourcing methods for new tooling.
• Work with production to implement Poka-Yoke methods.
• Conduct annual tool audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
