Job summary

Protingent Staffing is seeking a Manufacturing Tooling Engineer for a contract role in Rocket Park, FL. You will design, model, and release tooling using Creo Parametric and Windchill, ensuring ASME Y14.5 compliance and robust performance.

Responsibilities include managing projects end-to-end, procuring fabrication services, and performing root cause analyses. Collaboration with engineers will optimize safety, cost, quality, and cycle time across the manufacturing line.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with tooling design, fabrication and procurement.
• Proven CAD-based design experience for modeling and drafting.
• Creo Parametric and Windchill CAD/PDM proficiency.
• Fundamentals in mechanical design and GD&T.
• 3+ years of direct manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and release CAD models and drawings for tooling per ASME Y14.5.
• Address design challenges with fixtures, material-handling, rotisseries, test fixtures and weldments.
• Lead tooling projects from concept to commissioning, including vendors and testing.
• Set priorities for procurement and fabrication; support repairs and rework.
• Perform root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate to optimize safety, cost, quality, and delivery.
