Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC seeks a Tooling Engineer to support our Palmdale tooling department on site. The contract position spans 12 months and requires strong Catia design skills and GD&T knowledge to manage tool fabrication and testing.

The role involves coordinating design requirements, developing test plans, and guiding manufacturability improvements with cross-functional teams to ensure tooling performance meets product specs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Catia design experience with advanced 3D modeling and detailing.
• Familiar with ANSI/ISO drawing standards.
• Experience designing castings, stampings and turned components.
• GD&T knowledge to apply drawing rules.
• Strong written and verbal communication of technical details.
• Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers
• Coordinate, develop & execute test plans
• Develop & evaluate process improvements
• Assist Product Development Team with new product designs to ensure manufacturability
• Develop manufacturing processes, plans, and procedures for tool fabrication
• Manage all phases of project: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate
