Job summary

Employbridge is seeking a Manufacturing Tooling Engineer to design automation tooling and fixtures for high-volume production, using SolidWorks and related tools. The role emphasizes collaboration with internal teams and ensuring quality and reliability through rigorous project qualification.

The position is onsite in New Albany, IN, with a focus on managing schedules, budgets, and supplier evaluations while complying with OSHA/ANSI standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years relevant experience in Automation Machine Design, Design for Manufacturing, High Speed Assembly Equipment, Machine Tools, and Precision Tooling.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical elements of manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic tooling and equipment for volume production using CAD (SolidWorks).
• Provide mechanical design support and communicate with internal customers.
• Ensure product quality and process reliability through qualification activities.
• Review project costing and margin requirements with applications engineering.
• Develop measurable success requirements and manage detailed project schedules.
• Control project budget, supplier evaluation, and change notifications.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI and local standards for design and engineering work practices.
