Prestige Staffing Services in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an experienced Tooling Engineer for a direct hire opportunity with outstanding benefits.

You will provide technical support for product development and lead tooling design, PPAP, and tooling launches, while partnering with production to implement Poka-Yoke and perform tool audits. This role requires a strong manufacturing engineering background and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of modeling software experience (SolidWorks or equivalent).
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for product development and design.
• Provide input and direction in the sourcing, design, construction, PPAP, and launch of new tools, fixtures, and equipment.
• Estimate, schedule, and execute all engineering changes for tooling, cost savings, etc.
• Establish new and superior sourcing methods for new tooling.
• Work with production to implement Poka-Yoke methods.
• Conduct annual tool audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
