Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Fullerton, CA is seeking a Production Engineer to design, build, and validate tooling for cold stamping stainless steel parts (A286). You will work under the Senior Engineering Manager to ensure high-quality production and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing/tooling design experience in high-volume settings.
• SolidWorks proficiency and CAD experience.
• Experience with ERP systems (Syteline, Oracle, QAD).
• Strong GD&T and blueprint reading/inspection skills.
• US work authorization; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and validate tooling for cold stamping stainless steel parts.
• Run process control studies to set optimal machine parameters and write procedures.
• Produce tooling drawings, BOMs, and specs using CAD software.
• Analyze part progressions with simulation and refine designs.
• Collaborate with tool room machinists to prototype and test tooling.
• Monitor operations, enforce quality and safety standards, and address in-process issues.
• Note: hours may exceed 40 per week when required.
