Job summary

Amsted Automotive Group in Utica, MI is seeking a Tooling Associate to support press setup and optimize tooling performance on the production floor. You will troubleshoot, read blueprints, apply GD&T, and work with a team to improve efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus.
• Fundamental understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Support safe, efficient production setup by maintaining dies, tools, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot deficiencies, identify root causes, and make repairs as needed.
• Operate toolroom machinery and read blueprints and measurements.
• Collaborate with tooling and production teams to improve efficiency and quality.
• Participate in Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
