Job summary

Prescor is seeking a Tooling Maintenance Technician to ensure tooling is maintained and ready for Press Operations. The role runs Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

with overtime as required, and involves inspecting tooling, repairing tooling, and moving materials with a forklift. You will report issues to the Tooling Specialist and collaborate with coworkers to drive quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, tooling experience,

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
  • Previous tooling experience required.
  • Ability to read job specifications, instructions, policies, procedures, rules, and notices in English.
  • Ability to read part drawings and basic measurement methods.
  • Ability to interact and work cooperatively with supervisors and co-workers.
  • Keeps knowledge and skills current.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect tooling routinely to detect defects and identify malfunctions.
  • Report quality issues, including defects and damage, to the Tooling Specialist.
  • Repair and refurbish tooling.

Job description

Objective:

Ensures that tooling is well-maintained and supports setups as needed by Press Operations.

Shift:

Monday-Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Overtime as required.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Inspect tooling routinely to detect defects and identify tooling malfunctions
  • Reporting all quality issues, including defects & damage, to the Tooling Specialist
  • Repair and refurbish tooling
  • Drive a Forklift & move materials
  • Coordinating with others for feedback.
  • Complying with industry standards and safety regulations while working.
  • Complete all tasks as delegated by the supervisor in charge.
  • Efficiently managing time and meeting all specified deadlines.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized.

Physical Demands:
  • Lift & carry 1 – 50 lbs. frequently.
  • Push and or pull 1 – 50 lbs. frequently.
  • Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp, climb a ladder, and reach overhead and outward frequently.
  • Work in an industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • The work environment may include excessive temperatures.
Minimum Job Qualifications and Requirements:
  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license & proof of insurance
  3. Previous tooling experience required
  4. Ability to read job specifications, instructions, policies, procedures, rules, posted notices and warnings, safety guidelines, and other work-related materials written primarily or exclusively in English
  5. Ability to read part drawings and familiarity with basic measurement methods.
  6. Ability to interact and work cooperatively with supervisors and co-workers
  7. Keeps knowledge and skills current.
