Socket.dev, Hamilton, OH, is seeking a skilled CNC machinist/operator for tooling production on the 1st shift. You will set up and run CNC tooling with close tolerances and assist with tool setup and maintenance. The role requires reading customer orders, maintaining calibration, and collaborating with a team to meet deadlines.
The position involves programming CAD/CAM tooling, interpreting 2D drawings, and performing preventative maintenance as needed. Strong attention to detail is essential.

We are looking for a skilled CNC machinist/operator to set up, maintain, and operate CNC machinery. Tooling is manufactured with close tolerances of +/- 0.0004”. The ability to measure and determine tooling accuracy is required. You will work closely with the 1st and 2nd shift employees to manufacture and close customer orders. You will work with other technicians to prioritize workload. Some equipment setup will be required to manufacture various types of tooling. Some light mechanical repair of the machinery will be required, such as air leaks, hydraulic leaks, coolant leaks, etc. Equipment basic preventative maintenance will be required when due, such as filter changes, cleaning up the machinery, etc.
Duration: 10 to 12 weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5:00pm
Shift:
Primary Shift Post-Training: 6:00am – 2:00pm
No Travel
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and involved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
The ability to recognize and evaluate technical issues and limitations is required. The ability to define and manage expectations is critical. The ability to make sound decisions and actions is required.
