Job summary

Bluegrass Stream LLC in Paducah, KY is seeking a Team Leader to oversee a Toolroom team in a manufacturing environment. You will lead tooling operations, develop skills across mould tools, press tools, machining, EDM, and fitting, and coordinate with Production Supervisors to plan workloads.

In this role you will implement TPM programs to reduce downtime, support engineering on new product development, and drive continuous improvement, safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Higher National Diploma or equivalent in toolmaking or engineering.
• 5+ years of supervisory/leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Extensive tooling, manufacturing processes, and design knowledge.
• Proficiency with CAD/3D CAD, EDM, CNC milling; toolroom operations.
• Strong Lean and continuous improvement exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor the Toolroom team for efficient service delivery.

We are seeking a Team Leader to oversee a Toolroom team within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Leading, coaching, and mentoring the team to ensure efficient service delivery.


• Driving tooling processes for product development and managing end-of-life tooling replacement programs.


• Developing team skills across mould tools, press tools, machining, EDM, and fitting.


• Collaborating with Production Supervisors to plan workloads.


• Implementing TPM programs to reduce downtime and supporting engineering during new product development.


• Leading transitions in press shop operations, designing tooling modifications using CAD and 3D software, and managing tooling projects within capital expenditure guidelines.


• Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

• Higher National Diploma (HND) in Toolmaking, Engineering, or equivalent.


• At least 5 years' supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing, specifically supporting moulding and/or press operations.


• Extensive knowledge of tooling, manufacturing processes, and design.


• Proficiency in CAD/3D CAD, EDM, CNC milling, and toolroom operations.


• Familiarity with Lean principles and continuous improvement.


• Strong leadership, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.


• Ability to independently plan and execute initiatives.
