Job summary

PRIME Electric is seeking a Tool Room Supervisor to oversee all tools and equipment across job sites and facilities. You will manage procurement, maintenance, safety compliance, and vendor relationships while leading tool room staff.

The role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent plus substantial experience in tool management or repair, with OSHA 30 training preferred. Expect on-site warehouse work with occasional audits and cost-control responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
• Proven experience in tool management/repair, or a related field.
• OSHA 30 training preferred.
• Proven ability to exercise independent judgement and make decisions impacting cost, safety, and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to tool room employees.
• Assign and prioritize work ensuring coverage aligns with operational and project needs.
• Train, coach, and support team members on processes, safety expectations, and tool management.
• Oversee inventory, maintenance, repair, and replacement of tools and equipment, ensuring safe and available assets.
• Maintain accurate records of tools and equipment and coordinate with project teams on audits.
• Establish rentals when needed and track costs to meet project demands.
• Negotiate with suppliers and maintain service agreements.
• Adhere to safety programs and on-site safety practices.
