Job summary

BMC Metalworks, LLC in Columbia, Tennessee has an immediate opening for a Tool Room Attendant to assist in our Fabrication & Machining Services. This role maintains and inventories tools and supplies within the tool room on a day shift.

Responsibilities include inventory control, tool maintenance, and ensuring safety compliance. Requires basic education and experience in a shop environment; full-time day shift available.

Qualifications

• Strong computer and data entry skills with tool management software.
• Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
• Detail oriented with good time management.
• Ability to work in a fabrication shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tool room inventory and records.
• Manage Check-In/Check-Out system and sign-out logs.
• Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies.
• Audit inventories to match records.
• Inspect tools for wear and defects and remove unsafe tools.
• Ensure safety compliance in tool room.
