Job summary

GEO Secured Services in Florida seeks a dependable Tool Room Specialist to support facility operations. Under direct supervision, you will issue and track hand tools and equipment, maintain inventories, and order new supplies to keep maintenance teams productive.

You will work alongside a team, including inmates, applying tool-control procedures, recording losses, and ensuring safety with hazardous materials.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Experience in tool room, office procedures, and related duties is preferred.
Ability to interact professionally in individual and group settings.
Ability to work with inmates and implement team strategies.

Responsibilities

Issues tools to maintenance and facility personnel; ensures tools are functional and disposed of per policy.
Receives, tracks, and inventories all incoming tools and equipment.
Maintains file of lost tool reports and monitors losses; facilitates ordering new equipment.
Adheres to tool control policies and cooperates with other departments.
