MARS Solutions Group in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an experienced Tool Mold Maker to build new plastic injection molds and tooling components, repair existing molds, and support production tooling operations. You will collaborate with Lead Mold Makers and help train mold maintenance technicians and apprentices.

The role requires hands-on mold-building experience, ability to read CAD drawings, and strong troubleshooting and communication skills. Local candidates only; overtime may be required.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification/degree preferred.
• 3+ years of plastic injection mold-building experience or completion of an apprenticeship.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, CAD plans, and models.
• Ability to build tooling with minimal supervision.
• Experience operating tool room equipment and performing mold maintenance and in-press mold changes.

MARS Solutions Group is looking for an experienced Tool Mold Maker in Milwaukee, WI. Our client is a global manufacturing and engineering organization specializing in cable management, fastening, protection, connectivity, and identification solutions. Position Summary

Build new plastic injection molds and tooling components, maintain and repair existing molds, and support production tooling operations. Work closely with Lead Mold Makers and help train mold maintenance technicians and apprentices.

Main Responsibilities

Build new tooling and components from CAD designs and detailed prints.

Evaluate, maintain, and repair existing molds and production tooling.

Identify tooling issues and communicate them to the Lead Mold Maker or Supervisor.

Assist with training mold maintenance technicians and apprentices.

Perform mold maintenance and in-press mold changes.

Work with Quality Assurance to address quality concerns.

Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow company policies and safety procedures.

Key Requirements

3+ years of plastic injection mold-building experience

or successful completion of an apprenticeship.

Ability to build new tooling with minimal supervision.

Experience operating tool room equipment and performing mold maintenance and in-press mold changes.

Ability to read engineering drawings, CAD plans, and models.

Knowledge of plastic injection mold-building techniques.

Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification/degree preferred.

Must have personal precision tools.

Forklift experience preferred.

Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.

Must be willing to work overtime based on production needs.

Candidate Target Profile

Priorize candidates with hands-on plastic injection mold-building experience, the ability to build tooling independently, and experience interpreting CAD designs and engineering prints.

Potential candidate titles: Toolmaker, Mold Maker, Tool & Die Maker, Injection Mold Maker, Plastic Injection Mold Technician, and Journeyman Mold Maker.
