Job summary

Pretium Packaging, LLC seeks a Tool Maker Journeyman for the first shift (6:00 am – 2:30 pm) at its Saint Charles, IL facility. This full-time, on-site role fabricates and modifies tooling and molds, and performs precision machining with lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses.

Responsibilities include mold maintenance, troubleshooting, documentation, and upholding safety and quality standards. Requires High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years in machine trades with close-tolerance injection

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Related background in machine trades
Experience with close tolerance, multi-cavity injection molds
Strong blueprint reading and measurement instrument skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Effective problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Commitment to safety and quality standards

Responsibilities

Fabricate and modify tooling and molds from blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions
Perform machining operations using lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses
Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot molds and hot runner systems
Document all job assignments and time spent on logs
Maintain department machinery (oil, coolant, cleaning, calibration)
Ensure a clean and safe work environment and use PPE as required
