Job summary

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking a Tool Maker II to build, repair and optimize precision tooling and fixtures for production. You will work with engineering, quality and production teams, applying machining techniques to meet strict specifications and improve reliability and uptime.

You will read engineering drawings, set up and operate CNC and manual machines, and participate in root-cause investigations to drive continuous improvement across tooling and processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of toolmaking, mould making, fixture building or related experience.
• Associate degree or recognised apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models and GD&T.
• Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot tooling and implement practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble and fit production tooling, fixtures and gauges from drawings and specs.
• Repair, modify and troubleshoot tooling to meet production needs.
• Operate manual and CNC machining equipment to fabricate components.
• Support automation projects by fabricating machine components and fixtures.
• Read drawings and GD&T to determine machining and inspection methods.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Production teams on tooling solutions.
