Job summary

Versatile Mold & Design INC in Rutledge, GA is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to set up and operate CNC equipment, program and edit code, and work with CAM software to produce precision tooling. You will read blueprints and GD&T, maintain tooling, perform preventive maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement while collaborating with engineering and production teams.

Ideal candidates have Journeyman Toolmaker credentials, strong CAD skills (3D/2D), and experience with

Qualifications

Completion of an Apprentice or Journeyman Toolmaking program or 4 years of equivalent work experience.
Knowledge of high cavitation molding of precision small parts; experience in compression and injection molding is preferred.
Computer proficiency in 3D and 2D CAD, Microsoft Office.
Experience as a CNC Machinist/Programmer.
Good understanding of measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, depth mics, indicators).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bilingual skills in Spanish and English a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on tooling and troubleshoot problems.
Set up and operate CNC machines; program and edit codes; use CAM software.
Prepare and inspect molds and tooling; ensure GD&T conformance.
Maintain toolroom documentation and support tool startups.
Contribute to continuous improvement and cross-training.
Ensure safety and proper PPE usage.
