Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Morristown, TN, is seeking a Tool Maker to join our manufacturing team. You will analyze and manufacture complex components using machine tool equipment and learn safety protocols around electrical and energy sources in an industrial setting.

You will contribute to TPM teams, mentor coworkers, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining quality and safety standards. This role is on-site with shift-based responsibilities at the Cummins facility.

We are looking for a talented Tool Maker to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Morristown, TN.

Job Summary:

Analyzes and manufactures complex components using machine tool equipment. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment. May work independently and instruct or coach others.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

Experience:

• Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
• Must have advanced knowledge in tool and die practices and have knowledge of forging and metal machining equipment.
• Additional knowledge in the safe operation of Saws, Milling machines, Drilling/Tapping, Grinding Broaching, CNC lathes, Welding, Die Polishing, Die Assembly and also Fixturing and Rigging.
• Other skills may be required as new machines and practices are introduced.

Base Rate: $27.75 - $32.12/hr

Shift Premium: $1.00/hr
