Job summary

Sika is seeking a Tool Maker for the 2nd shift (3:00PM–11:00PM) in Grandview, MO. This full-time role supports the Automotive/Industry Americas area within Manufacturing. You will diagnose and repair molds, inspect operation, manage work orders, and troubleshoot hydraulic, cooling, electrical, and thermal systems.

Independent work style, excellent attendance, and ability to work at heights (20 ft) are essential. Sika offers a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass Maintenance Specialist Tool Room Placement test.
• Proven excellent attendance and safety records.
• Able to work at 20 ft. safely.
• Diagnose molds to repair or replace parts and make adjustments as needed.
• Inspects molds to insure proper operation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose Molds to repair or replace parts and make adjustments as needed.
• Inspects Molds to insure proper operation.
• Enter ALL work orders and PMs into the system on your shift.
• Troubleshoots hydraulic circuits and cooling circuits.
• Maintain inventory of replacement components.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits and thermal issues.
• Oversee major work for each mechanical project.
• Perform welding (MIG, Micro MIG, TIG) as needed.
• Understand and follow safety lock out/tag out procedures.
