Job summary

Intel Foundry Construction and Sourcing (FCS) is seeking a Construction Tool Equipment Install Engineer for our Hillsboro, Oregon campus. You will own equipment from pre-design through SL2 Signoff, coordinating with factory owners, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless tool installation across complex semiconductor facilities.

The role is a fixed-term, approximately 12 months with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or related technical field with 1+ years of project, program, construction, or tool install experience, or a master’s degree in engineering, architecture, or related field.
• Minimum qualifications require strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills to manage diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Equipment & Delivery Management: ensure tools and kits are ordered and delivered per schedule.
• Stakeholder Representation: act as primary contact for equipment-related matters.
• Financial Planning & Forecasting: forecast workload and funding with stakeholders; manage PO commitments.
• Systems & Configuration Management: align systems with equipment requirements and schedules.
• Execution Planning & Coordination: lead cross‑functional planning across suppliers and contractors.
• Supplier & Contractor Management: align supplier capacity and mitigate risks.
• Compliance & Training: ensure stakeholders are trained and adhering to SOPs.
• Funding & Change Order Management: process timely funding requests before work begins.
• Continuous Improvement: apply cross-site learnings to Tool Install operations.
• Safety Leadership: foster a safety-first culture on site and in the office.
• Project Planning: translate requirements into high-quality project plans.
• Problem Resolution: drive troubleshooting to resolve delays.
