Qualifications

• Master’s degree in the same fields qualifies with 1+ years’ related experience.
• PM certification (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute semiconductor tool installation activities for factory construction and ramp milestones.
• Collaborate with owners, suppliers, contractors, and engineering teams to secure equipment, materials, and resources.
• Lead planning and coordination across stakeholders to support installation execution.
• Monitor readiness, procurement, funding approvals, and project milestones.
• Develop installation plans, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Serve as primary Intel equipment owner from planning through turnover.
• Resolve constraints, escalate risks, and drive timely issue resolution.
• Ensure all work meets Intel safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Support defect inspection/metrology equipment installation and qualification activities.
• Partner with yield/process/manufacturing teams to deploy equipment and ensure operational readiness.

As part of this team, you will contribute to the deployment of cutting-edge manufacturing equipment that powers the future of semiconductor innovation. As a Defect Metrology Tool Install Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing installation projects for advanced inspection and metrology equipment used to support process control, yield improvement, and manufacturing excellence. You will work closely with engineering, construction, manufacturing, and supplier partners to deliver successful tool installation projects supporting Intel's leading-edge factories.

This is an onsite position located in Hillsboro, Oregon.

What You'll Do Core Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute semiconductor tool installation activities supporting factory construction and manufacturing ramp milestones.
• Collaborate with factory owners, suppliers, contractors, and engineering teams to ensure equipment, materials, and resources are available to support project schedules.
• Lead planning and coordination activities across multiple stakeholders to support successful tool installation execution.
• Monitor equipment readiness, procurement status, funding approvals, and project milestones.
• Develop and maintain installation plans, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Act as the primary Intel equipment owner from planning through installation and turnover.
• Resolve project constraints, elevate risks, and drive issue resolution to maintain schedule commitments.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Intel safety, quality, and operational standards.

Defect Metrology-Specific Responsibilities

• Support installation, relocation, startup, and qualification activities for defect inspection and metrology equipment.
• Partner with yield engineering, process engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams to support equipment deployment and operational readiness.
• Coordinate readiness activities required for metrology equipment installation and turnover.
• Drive issue resolution related to equipment integration, facilities interfaces, startup activities, and installation challenges.
• Support deployment of advanced metrology and inspection technologies that enable process control and yield improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful qualification of equipment supporting manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Note: This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship. This is a fixed-term contract position with an anticipated assignment duration of 24 months. Employment under this contract is temporary in nature and will end upon completion of the assignment period unless extended based on business requirements.

• Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Project Management, or a related technical field with 3+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, equipment installation, construction management, project management, capital projects, or factory ramp operations. Or a Master’s degree in the same filed and 1+ years of experience in same areas as well.
• Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting factory startup, qualification, or manufacturing ramp activities.
• Professional Project Manager (PMP), Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent project management certification.
